WGAB Board Positions

The terms of several board members will be ending May 2022. We are actively looking for replacements in several key positions. Every month, we meet the second Wednesday during the school year for General Meetings. Planning sessions are every second Monday of the month year round for Executive Board planning meetings. If you are interested in any of the following positions, please email president@wgab.org.

President
Set the strategic direction of the WGAB and serve as primary liaison with school leadership. Presides over Board Meetings and oversees committees, as per By Laws. Appoint all Committee Chair positions. Protect WGAB’s non-profit status and maintain liability insurance coverage.

Vice President
Supports strategic direction set by the President, and presides over Board Meetings in the absence of President. Signs checks when approved by the board.

Treasurer
Maintains an accurate statement of finances using QuickBooks for WGAB, and presents monthly and annual reports. Ensures that WGAB complies with all tax laws, applications, fundraising guidelines, and non-profit filings.

Secretary

Prepare and distribute both the agenda and minutes for monthly meeting.

Communications
Build awareness of WGAB and increase participation in the organization. Maintain website and regular email outreach. Promote WGAB events and fundraisers in social media.

Spirit Wear
Maintain inventory of Ram Spirit Wear to maximize fundraising potential of apparel and accessories appealing to all sports. Requires ability to identify high demand items, coordinate the designs, and manage production and pricing.

Middle School Liaison
Serve as primary liaison with middle school leadership to ensure WGAB open communication with WGMS students and families. Support fundraising activities.

Committee Chairs

Annual WGAB Golf Tournament
Drive annual WGAB Charity Golf Tournament at Spring Valley. Lead committee to plan and execute event and present detailed reports of results.

Concessions Lead
Manages concessions inventory to maximize fundraising potential. Maps plan for event food service.

WGAB Scholarship Fund
Establish scholarships, timeline, and submission process. Coordinate unbiased review of applications to determine distribution of scholarships.

NCAA Signing Day
Coordinate students and university process for National Signing Day.
